Empowering People in the Workplace



Companies largely count on employees. When employees feel that they're empowered, they produce improved results for their team and/or department. 5. Build a positive work environment. Establish rules and regulations that help in such endeavor. Avoid dictatorship. People have the tendency to be more open to instructions and directions when they feel they're a significant part of a team. When the contributions of employees are valued, they would be able to generate better outcomes.

6. Show you appreciate them. Recognize them when they've accomplished a challenging goal or do the extra mile. For instance, if someone meets his sales quota, show appreciation by sending an email or note of congratulations or giving an incentive or bonus.
