If seeing is knowing, Ian McCormack is now a great believer in the afterlife. After viewing a motion picture called Endless Summer, Ian took a trip throughout Asia, surfing and living out his own adventure. He arrived on the island of Mauritius where most of the book occurred. Ian was instructed night scuba diving by the locals. It was during a night dive when Ian was stung five times by box jellyfish. The sting of one
box jellyfish has enough toxin to kill 60 individuals.
After being stung, Ian was in fighting for survival as he tried to travel from the outer reef to a regional hospital to get the most important needed antitoxins. During this trip, he was pushed out of a taxi and left to die on the side of a roadway because he didn't have money on him to pay the driver. A hotel owner likewise declined to take him to the hospital.
An ambulance finally arrived. During that trip the spiritual and supernatural exploded into his life. Ian did make it to the hospital alive, but died soon afterwards.
Once Ian's soul had actually left his body, he entered into a realm of overall awe. First, he discovered himself into overall darkness bordered by pure evil. These wicked specters told him that he was in hell and he deserved to be there.
Ian was then transported into a realm of total light, where he experienced total peace and love, absolute forgiveness from a Being that stood in the center of the light. The Being stood in front of him with outstretched arms as if to welcome him. Ian was then offered a glimpse into a brand-new reality where he saw a brand-new paradise.
Ian was asked if he wanted to return by the Celestial Being. Shaking his head, he at first reasoned that there was no compelling reason for him to return. Nonetheless, upon seeing an image of his mom, he decided to return for her alone.
Ian's tale raises the bench of human experience. I highly recommend this book.
