Learning How To Deal With Death; Living A Life Set Free in Just Ten Days!

“100 per cent of us die, and the percentage cannot be increased.” C.S. Lewis

Dying is a difficult subject to talk about. It's even more difficult to face, particularly if you have no idea what is waiting ”for you”. It is a common belief that good are on there way to heaven, while terrible people go to hell. But if there's no certainty, the possibility can be quite terrifying.

As well as an unknown destination after death, there is a lot of other things that make death hard to deal with. Death means separation; separation from family and friends, from those things you loved and well...everything.

It also means hurting. The majority leave this life thru discomfort and suffering. It's not often one just closes their eyes, takes their last breath and is gone not encountering some kind of suffering. Regardless of if one dies quickly in an accident, there may be horrifying moments just prior to that which make their dying experience anything apart from pleasant.

Several years ago, my first husband was diagnosed with a fast metastasizing brain tumor and given only a few months to survive. When I asked him if he was afraid to die he replied, "No, I'm not scared to die but I am extremely afraid of the process." That made sense to me. He anticipated, with great anticipation, what awaited him on the opposite side of death but knew the road he must take to get there would be crammed with great agony and suffering - and it was.

The present suffering and the separation from loved ones and the unknown of death make it understandable why individuals are so afraid of death. Yet, God's Word tells us death is a thing we needn't fear, not if we "live" right. The way we live makes all the difference in how we die.

“If you live wrong, you can’t die right.” Billy Sunday

If anyone selects to live this life, for and by one's self, leaving God out of their life, then by their own decision, when their life ends, the only power source and strength they are going to have to draw on is their own. Unfortunately, they will discover their private reservoir has nothing to offer them and worse, they haven't any ability on their own to arrive in Heaven.

God’s Son is the only way to Heaven.

John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God who is in Heaven) but through Me.”

Once we accepted Him and have a relationship with God the Father thru His son, we needn't fear death any longer.

I Corinthians 15:55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Put simply, death doesn't have the last say. Any followers of Jesus Christ, death isn't final . It is simply a doorway to Heaven, our ultimate destination, the place we were created for. In our everlasting home, all hurting, unhappiness, discomfort and disease will cease. We shall experience happiness and pleasure beyond anything we could imagine. Dying, then, can basically become something we expect instead of fear because of where we will arrive. Even the method of death loses its scaring grip when one walks that journey with our Heavenly Father, instead of all alone.
