The Second Essential Pillar of Self-Esteem

This is the second of 3 parts in the "Three Pillars of Self-Esteem" series.

The second pillar of powerful self confidence is to get back your natural ability to recognise and even rely on your inner voice of knowledge and steering. Some people call it "trusting your gut" others reference it as "intuition" or your "sixth sense." I call it being "illuminated."

There's little more annoying than knowing you can do far better in life but just can't seem to get there. Within, you're feeling without a hint of doubt that you're far more able in general and that your true "self" is locked up inside howling to get out. Your heart tells you that you have got the strength and abilities heretofore unproven, but that they live in you untapped. You cannot make contact with your "higher" self. You're feeling like you are in the dark, suppressed by your disappointment.

As revealed by best-selling writer Robin Jayne Dedeker (self-esteem), "Every person among us has the gift of intuition inside themselves." Unfortunately, as we progress thru life it's not uncommon for many of us to lose contact with our authentic and naturally intuitive selves. We begin to listen more to what's going down on the outside and far less to the important messages being broadcast on the inside.

Those who reconnect with those inner messages and live the illuminated life experience a deep sense of "knowing" that leads to unshakable confidence and a straightforwardness of achievement.

As you begin to listen for that little, quiet voice inside, you begin a journey of inspiring awareness and self-realization and, with the correct perspective you can at last come to rely on this pillar of self-image. As that voice gets louder with awareness, your natural intuition and self-trust grows showing intuitive talents, psychic abilities, and powers of extra-sensory perception.

By raising your self-acceptance and seeing the wonderful creature known as "you," your decisions become self-assured based not only on intelligent decision making, logic, and sensible realism but also the creativeness that flows deep in your being.

Here are one or two easy pointers that may help you reconnect with your intuitive inner voice of direction :

1. Listen less to what is happening "outside" and more to what's going on inside. This includes Television, papers, gossip, and so on. Spend that time in a quiet spot, not particularly thinking, but permit yourself the advantage of just "being" for a few moments. Soon your inner voice will reemerge from the daily noise.

2. Ask yourself open-ended questions about the things in your life you are battling with. When you ask yourself questions, be quiet and actually expect an answer . Simply, an open-ended is one that isn't answered with a "yes" or "no."

3. Permit yourself the liberty to "feel" the answers to the challenges you face. Your answers may not come as a "voice" but as a feeling or sense to do something.

When you realize the new possibilities and begin to explore and experience the inner illuminated you, your life will instantly take on an alternative meaning and reflect that meaning to those around you. You will learn how to rely on your intuition to make better calls, that will bring about more positive results in your life. You'll nearly explode with a new found appreciation for "you." For help in finding your "illuminated" self, go to self-confidence.
